Scottish Country Dancing Club
The club meets weekly between September and May on Tuesday nights from 7:30pm – 10pm in the Centre, Main Street, Kinbuck.
The Scottish Country Dance club welcomes anyone wishing to enjoy an evening of Scottish country dancing. We have members of all abilities, from complete beginners to highly accomplished dancers, both male and female, and are probably one of the few dance clubs where sometimes the number of men exceeds that of women.
We do not aspire to teach all the finer aspects of Scottish country dance, as the club was born out of the desire by village residents to learn the various dances they had encountered at dinner dances and ceilidhs. This is still our objective although our selection of dances has since grown, considerably. The evenings are a mix of old and new dances, some light exercise and lots of laughter.
We have an end of season dance, usually in April / May, with live music and plenty of “refreshment”.
Weekly subscription £3.00 ( this covers the hall cost and the end of season dance )
