sangs-o-sherrifmuir

Organised and Performed by Paraig MacNeil

300 years ago this year, and on the eve of the Battle of Sheriffmuir, the Highland officers of the 1715 Jacobite Rising were billeted in the old mill of Kinbuck by the Allan Water, in preparation for the Jacobite army to pass through, under the command of the Earl of Mar, to engage the forces of the Duke of Argyll on Sheriffmuir.

From this turbulent time period many songs have survived, in all of Scotland languages.
