Dunblane Community Council – June Update

In this update: Speed limits on B8033, Beauly to Denny Powerline, SSE works in Braco Area, Scottish Water, No Cold Calling Zones, Windfarm Grants, Dunblane Youth Project, Planning Update Speed limits on B8033 – no further update on this. Beauly to Denny Powerline – it appears SSE and Stirling Council have now signed off conditions and work can commence. Dates have still to be confirmed but SSE have indicated there may be works beginning in July – tree felling and road improvements [new Bellmouth off the B8033 at the landfill site] will be the first works to begin. I have asked SSE to arrange an open event for Kinbuck to provide further detail on what will be happening and when – no date confirmed but note this could be AFTER works begin. SSE may do a mailing round doors prior to this. In the meantime I can confirm the following:- No heavy construction traffic permitted through Kinbuck, along the Auchinlay Road, off B8033 towards Ashfield, off B8033 towards Cairnston, Glen Road and indeed the entire section of the B8033 south from the A9 Perth junction on the B8033 to the Keir roundabout – north and south.
