In this update:

Beauly to Denny, Ramoyle, Scottish Water, Ashfield Phone Box, Cathedral Car Park, Police Report, Bridge Conditions Following Recent Bad Weather, Dunblane  Youth Project, Stirling Council Budget, Kinbuck Mill, Stirling Council Food Waste Collection

Beauly to Denny – still no confirmed start date for this.  The main outstanding issues are with the traffic management plans and private water supplies.  You may have also seen the recent press coverage of the rejected proposals for the Scottish Power Stirling Mitigation Scheme [Kinbuck not part of this].  Further consultation to take place with end June 2011 likely date for any new proposals.

Ramoyle – note access is only for residents and this continues to be enforced.  Advance No Entry signage will be in place May.

Scottish Water – site visit took place at Dunblane Water Treatment works.  Scottish Water will attend future DCC meeting.

Ashfield Phone Box –  DCC approved adoption of the red phone box from BT by Ashfield Village Association.

Cathedral Car Park – renewal of white lining of parking spaces will take place soon.

Police Report – metal and fuel thefts noted in the area.

Bridge Conditions Following Recent Bad Weather – surveys  will be carried out on both the bridge near the high street over the river Allan and the bridge at the north of Kinbuck over the river Allan to determine any deterioration.

Dunblane  Youth Project – funding for this was obtained last year.  The group will shortly propose 5 projects which will be open for consultation.

Stirling Council Budget – spending cut of £8.9million will be achieved through efficiencies of services and no redundancies as yet. Frontline services have been protected.

Kinbuck Mill – recently windows have been broken.  Can we ask people to remain vigilant and report anything suspicious.

Stirling Council Food Waste Collection – latest timescale for including Ashfield and Kinbuck – end of summer.

Next DCC meeting Monday 4th April at 7.30pm in the Burgh Chambers.

Kind regards
