Crook MakingThe stick and crook making class takes place on Wednesday evenings, starting at 6.45 pm in the Centre, Main Street, Kinbuck.

This group, led by Jonny Black, is learning how to make traditional walking sticks and crooks.

The sticks and crooks are fashioned from hazel sticks for the lower part with the tops being carved from various types of horn.   Learn how to straighten wood, soften and shape horn, carve and embellish the top, assemble the parts and finally varnish, paint or polish to produce your own stick.

This class is suitable for beginners and accomplished stick makers.
