Following the closure of Kinbuck Primary School by Stirling Council in 1998 a Community Group was formed to ensure that the school building was maintained as a social amenity for the inhabitants of Kinbuck and surrounding area.
The Kinbuck Community Group is a registered charity which exists to maintain and look after the old school building which now performs the function of a village hall. The Group promotes activities to benefit the inhabitants of the Kinbuck community, providing facilities for recreation, education, social and leisure activities, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the inhabitants of the community of Kinbuck, to foster a community spirit and to support charitable objectives suggested by the community.
A programme of social events is devised annually by the Kinbuck Community Group and the calendar of events can be found on this page of the website. Ceilidhs, Burns Suppers and Jazz Barbeques are annual events. Other social events have recently included a Variety Show, a Musical Evening and a Halloween Party. Visitors are always made welcome at these friendly community gatherings.
There is an elected committee details of which can be found on this website. The committee meets regularly throughout the year and an AGM is held in November.
The Community would like to see the Centre being used to full capacity so we welcome any groups and individuals wishing to use the Hall for social, educational or charitable events or activities.
The Centre consists of a Main Hall suitable for ceilidhs, dances and parties and a meeting room suitable for clubs, workshops and smaller groups or parties. These rooms have been recently refurbished to a high standard. There is also an excellent kitchen facility and utility room.
Details of hire can be found here.
